The Capturing Move Go life and death problems, five a day

한국어

Black plays first and captures the marked white stones within a set number of moves. Five problems a day, and today's set is the same on every device.

You solve them on the board. A wrong move leaves the board untouched and shows you how White survives instead. A right one opens the full search that proves it.

200 problems were generated in advance, and today (2026-10-12) draws five of them.

No account, no loot boxes. The game and your record are always free.

What this app does not do

Classic two eye life and death is not here yet. That kind of problem needs a separate judgement of who is alive once there is nothing left to play, and imitating it without that judgement would make our answers wrong.

Every problem here is the same question: Black to play, capture the marked white stones within the given number of moves. No territory counting and no ko threats.

We generate the problems ourselves. Not one of them was copied from someone else's collection.

There is no human commentary. Every line on screen is a sequence our search actually played out.
